    Visit to Estonia

    Life Sciences Baltics 2014 team will visit Estonia on May 4th–5th. Organizers of the only international forum in the Baltics for world-class biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical devices experts from all around the world will meet with such Estonian companies as “Enterprise Estonia”, Estonian Healthtech ClusterEstonian Biotechnology Association, Estonian Investment Fund, University of Tartu and TBD BioDiscovery.

    Lithuanian life science achievements are highly valued in Israel

    Lithuanian governmental agency “Enterprise Lithuania” together with Lithuanian companies and universities for the third continuous year takes part in one of the world's largest life science exhibitions “MIXiii- BIOMED 2014” which is taking place in Tel Aviv on May 20-22. Among the global leaders, Lithuanian companies „Biotechpharma“, „Biomapas“, „Bioseka“, „Altechna“ and the representatives from Vilnius and Mykolas Riomeris universities are presenting their achievements and products in the national stand.

    Latvian life sciences companies are invited to attend the Life sciences baltics 2014 forum in Vilnius

    On 14 May, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Latvia held a presentation of the Life Sciences Baltics 2014 forum to take place on 10-12 September, in Vilnius. The key purpose of the meeting was to invite Latvian businesses, enterprises and academic institutions engaged in life sciences to attend various events to be held during the international forum.

    This spring Garage48 ''Health&Wellness'' event gives everybody an opportunity to make theirhealthcare and wellness improving ideas into reality.     A unique and innovative Pharmaceutical and Health technology centre was opened in Kaunas

    On March 25, 2014, at Eivenių St. 4, in Kaunas close to the Kaunas Clinics town a new modern Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Center opened the door. This open access centre, which was established by the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUHS), is carry out the integrated science studies and business centre (valley) “Santaka” programme.

    Life Sciences Baltics 2014 at Bio Europe Spring 2014

    This March a rapidly progressing Lithuanian life sciences sector was presented at the international exhibition „Bio Europe Spring“ in Turin (Italy). It is one of the most significant events for biotechnology, biomedical, pharmaceutical, laser technologies in Europe.

    UAB Bioseka together with the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University and partners from Israel are developing the new generation of antimicrobials

    Hospital acquired infections, antibiotic-resistance and non-selective antibiotic action are pressing needs on the health systems worldwide. Novel antibacterials are urgently needed to combat the bacterial pathogens, which are increasingly resistant to existing antibiotics.
    UAB Bioseka together with the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University and Israeli company GeneArrest Ltd are developing novel antimicrobial biotechnology for the treatment of life-threatening infections.
